Tash Bowden
Tash graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a BHSc in Physiotherapy in 2019. She completed her Post-Grad Cert in Acupuncture in 2022. Tash started her career working in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in a private practice in Auckland working with gymnasts, NNL Netball, runners, cross-fitters and F45 enthusiasts. She also has experience working with para-athletes, including athletes that have represented New Zealand at the Paralympics.
Tash comes from a background of NZ representative level Gymnastics and Springboard Diving so has a thorough understanding of the requirements of high-level sports. Tash has a passion for musculoskeletal injuries and enjoys interacting with clients and helping them to achieve their treatment goals.
Tash moved to Papamoa in 2021 to enjoy a change in lifestyle for her family, including her three beautiful children, Jaxon, Mercedes and Phoenix. Tash enjoys being active in the gym, out participating in running events, or cheering her children on in their individual sporting endeavors.
Adam Clayton
Adam graduated from AUT University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.
His first job saw him move to a small town of Gore in the South Island. He enjoyed working in the semi-rural town for three years. He gained excellent skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, part of the job included visiting local rest homes to deliver physiotherapy for the residents and to work alongside doctors, nurses and health care assistants. Managing the wide array of clients in the small town of Gore increased his ability to adapt and cater for the various requirements of people from all walks of life.
In 2023, Adam moved to Papamoa and has thrived working in Te Puke since July.
In his spare time, you would probably find Adam off for a run, going for a bike ride, or lazing on Mt Maunganui beach. Adam’s particular interests in physiotherapy are sport-orientated rehabilitation, especially running and triathlon. The Boutique Physio has modern and state of the art ‘VALD’ force plate assessment tools. Adam uses this technology to accurately assess, track and improve an athlete’s speed, power and ultimately their performance.
Adam hopes to see you in the clinic soon where he will work alongside you to achieve and surpass your goals!
Chris Rowe
Chris is an incredible asset to The Boutique Physio team. Chris graduated in 2023 from AUT. He is originally from Te Puke, and is super excited to provide his expertise in his local community.
Along with his recent physiotherapy degree, Chris also has a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation which he completed in 2014. His exceptional education gives him a wide knowledge base regarding sport injuries and other aspects surrounding many different sports. Chris has a keen eye for detail and using the latest research to support his work.
Outside of work, Chris plays both club cricket and football throughout the year, and is keen on just about any social sport he can get involved in.
Raquel Casey
Raquel graduated from Auckland University of Technology with her first Degree in Sport and Recreation in 2014, and later in 2022, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy. During this time, Raquel also completed additional papers in sports massage, remedial massage, and deep tissue massage.
Raquel has worked in both Nelson and Westport on the West Coast of the South Island before relocating to Te Puke. She has extensive experience in sports such as rugby, football, basketball, AFL, hockey, and more, including involvement with teams like the Silverdale AFL men's team, Nelson Giants, Mako, Nelson Wanderers, Buller Rugby, and East Coast Heartland Rugby teams. Raquel's interest in both musculoskeletal and neurological aspects of physiotherapy has led her to focus on concussion and return-to-sport rehabilitation, prompting her to obtain certification in vestibular therapy, which involves assisting individuals suffering from vertigo and addressing underlying conditions that may mimic vertigo.
Raquel's move to Te Puke signifies her dedication to advancing her career in physiotherapy. Outside of work, Raquel enjoys playing guitar, boxing, going to the gym, playing badminton, swimming, learning skills based on Māori cultural and she has a great love for dogs.
Amanpreet Singh
Amanpreet graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology before completing his Degree in Physiotherapy in 2023. Through his own experiences, he has garnered a strong desire to aid others through injury and is determined to positively impact the lives of his patients.
He enjoys working with all members of the community and finds great satisfaction in helping his patients get back to the things they enjoy. Amanpreet combines strengthening, manual therapy and education for a holistic approach to his treatments.
Outside of work you can find him spending time with family and friends, in the gym, or on the wrestling mats.
Shenelle Cotter
Shenelle covers our daily office management and is the first smiling face you’ll see when entering The Boutique Physio. Shenelle has a background of customer service with a huge passion in making people feel at their best with any personal aspirations in life. As a teenager she played competitive waterpolo for BOP, netball and competed in swimming sports. She is a mother of two beautiful children, Jaxon and Amelia, who inspired her to be more active and live a healthier lifestyle as a role model that you can achieve anything you put your mind too. In the past 6 years Shenelle dove head first into gym living, creating a new passion for anything and everything fitness related. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation throughout her journey to wellness has enabled her to compete in multiple CrossFit competitions. Shenelle is passionate in providing patients with optimal care throughout their rehabilitation. In her spare time Shenelle is a devoted mother to her children, competitive cross fitter and thrill seeker who is always keen on a new adventure.
